“Training for
excellence”
Who is it for?
At Schwartz’s CrossFit Melbourne we are introducing a program that is aimed at youth between the ages of 12 and 17 based around the CrossFit system. It is aimed at young people either keen to get fitter, stronger and healthier, or to improve at their chosen sport. Our aim is to encourage our athletes to reach their full athletic potential by focussing on their training skills and development.
What we do.
Our aim is to use constantly varied, functional movements with a focus on technique. Exercises will include conditioning training such as rowing, running, skipping and/or gymnastic movements incorporating Olympic rings, paralettes, climbing ropes, as well as traditional bodyweight movements such as chin ups, push ups and handstand push ups. We also use alternative equipment like tyres and sledgehammers. We aim to teach you the correct way to squat, Deadlift, press overhead and perform Olympic type lifts such as the clean and jerk, with barbells and other objects.
Why are we different?
At Schwartz’s CrossFit Melbourne we do not claim to perform instant miracles but we will work your kids harder than they ever have, furthermore, we are not interested in being a babysitting service.
At Schwartz’s we are only interested in participants who want to be there themselves. Our dedicated coaches will educate you about nutrition and those coaches will motivate you to ensure, that when you have completed a session you walk away enhanced, improved and wanting to come back. The training provided will guarantee strength and fitness gains beyond expectations. We aim to do this by continually developing 10 general physical skills; lung capacity, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, agility, co-ordination, balance and accuracy. As well as these skills, participants will also develop mental toughness and stamina.
OUR EXPECTATIONS.
Our coaches are passionate about providing the best service for all participants. We adhere to the following principles:
- RESPECT- for the coaches and all other participants. This includes respecting the training space and all the equipment; and
- COMMITMENT- to training and improvement. At Schwartz’s, we are not concerned with your starting level of fitness or strength, we care about commitment and dedication to improving those levels.
We are excited and look forward to starting our youth program and changing the way you see fitness and conditioning for the better.
