Brett Wiener
Brett grew up
in a house with a rich sporting culture. His father
played International Test cricket, and through this, Brett found he was
always
running around participating in many sports. On the cricket field at
premier 2nd
eleven level, on the footy field in leadership roles and premiership
winning
teams, basketball court, tennis court and in the pool at state level.
Although
Brett believes that exercise is a prime component of health and well
being;
Diet plays an extremely large role in his life. On a basic level, he
believes
that diet is the foundational layer in the pyramid of health. What we
put into
our bodies is directly proportional to the energy we are able to exert
during
high intensity exercise in the Crossfit arena. It is not necessarily
about
eating perfectly or exercising 7 days a week, but through consistency we
are
able to build a strong minded and most importantly a confident and happy
individual.
Crossfit is
the epitome of fitness. Brett strongly believes that
the Crossfit regime is so powerful in that it is designed for universal
scalability. Someone with heart disease is able to perform the same
workout as
an elite gymnast, only scaling load and intensity. Being able to push
people
beyond what they believe is possible is what the increasingly large
Crossfit
community is all about. Brett was never interested in working out at
“globo
gyms” at a younger age. However, through his brother, he found Crossfit,
and from
that day on (as it is the same with everyone) Crossfit shaped and
continues to shape
his lifestyle.
Brett believes
that the type of motivation required for each
individual is different, depending on their goals. Moreover that
training over
broad time and fitness domains is the key to optimal performance and
fitness in
the real world.
The
opportunity arose to begin a career with the Schwartz team after
training at
Schwartz’s Crossfit Melbourne for approx 18 months, and thus in mid 2009
Brett
began working at our affiliate
Crossfit
is
not only about getting fit and healthy, but more importantly about

implications
for anything you ever want to do in your life.
